Asparagus grower sentenced to 4 years for exploiting foreigners

DEN BOSCH – Jose Janssen, an asparagus grower from Someren, was again sentenced to four years in jail by a court of appeal in Den Bosch.

She is suspected of exploiting workers from Eastern Europe and Portugal. The courts had already sentenced Janssen to 2.5 years jail time. It is said that she exploited 74 workers. They were underpaid and subjected to terrible living and working conditions.Source: Omroep Brabant
