dinsdag 29 mei 2012

EINDHOVEN – Cities in Brabant have become safer to live in over the past few years. This is evident from the results published in the crime meter carried out by the Algemeen Dagblad (a national newspaper).

The most dangerous city is Amsterdam and apart from Eindhoven, there are no places in Brabant in the top ten list of dangerous places to live.  Tilburg, the sixth largest city in The Netherlands, is ranked as 14th, with Den Bosch in 15th place, and Breda in 18th place.  The municipalities of Oosterhout (43) and Rucphen (105) do not score well.Eindhoven holds 6th place for the second year in a row. Two years ago the city topped the list. This is proof that the changes implemented in the city over the past few years are having a positive impact, according to Rob Van Gijzel, the Mayor of Eindhoven. Eindhoven decided to make an about turn after it was voted most dangerous city a few years in a row. Last year the city was ranked in 6th place for the First time. Eindhoven will intensify cooperation with a variety of organizations including The Regional Information and Expertise Centre and the The Veiligheidshuis in order to continue reducing the number of cases of assault and threatening behavior cases.Source: Omroep Brabant
